Well the last week has been a festive affair with the crescendo, building to Midnight on New Years. The amount of fire works let off around town was incredible, with almost everyone lighting something off that would explode. Pictures can’t do it justice.
Equally overwhelming was the level of celebration that occurred, with parties everywhere.

The little girl in the picture, asked me to take her photo, as I was taking some photos in the Old Part of Paramaribo, I gave her my blog address on a piece of paper, as it is the only way I could pass the photo on to her. Hopefully she gets it.
